In the United Church of Christ people are baptized either as children or adults. The ritual of Baptism with water and the Holy Spirit is the mark of their acceptance into the care of Christ’s church and the beginning of their new growth into full Christian faith and life. Arrangements for Baptism may be made with our pastor.
Our nursery is available for use by parents or caregivers during worship; however, we encourage parents to keep their infants with them in worship. We believe the sound of an infant is the still speaking voice of God and we are privileged to hear them.

Jesus said, “Let the children come to me!” In response, we here at St. Thomas United Church of Christ offer a creative and imaginative program designed to welcome all children as special and unique individuals. We have a great Education Team and program where your child will learn in a safe, fun and encouraging environment what it means to be a Christian. Our children’s program begins in worship with parents in song and prayer, and continues when they are led by dedicated teachers into a loving, new and exciting learning experience about Jesus as they participate in story, arts/crafts, song and prayer.
We encourage all children 12 years or older to remain in worship with their families and to enroll in our family membership classes to learn what it means to be a confirmed member of the church community. These classes are taught by our pastor and are set at times convenient for each family.
